How to match gate operator replacement parts
Practical equipment guidance from The Gate Guy.
A similar-looking part is not enough to confirm fit. Start with the equipment already installed, then match the replacement to that configuration.
Photograph the labels first
Record the operator model, control-board model and revision, and the part number on the component you are replacing. Clear label photos are more useful than a distant photo of the gate.
For an actuator
Confirm whether it serves the main or secondary gate, its connector and cable length, and the existing mounting arrangement. Do not assume that two actuators with similar housings have the same connections or application.
For a receiver or transmitter
Record the receiver model and the transmitter model. Frequency alone does not establish compatibility; the receiver and transmitter must also use a compatible system. Our standard solar single-gate kits include a 300MHz receiver and two transmitters.
For a control board
Match the board model and revision to the operator and installed accessories. Send a clear photo of the board label and existing connectors. Do not order from the appearance of the enclosure alone.
Send us a useful parts request
- Operator and component model numbers
- Clear photos of labels and the existing part
- Main or secondary gate, where applicable
- Cable length and connector details
- The symptom you are trying to resolve
Ask us to check the equipment details before ordering, or browse the parts catalog. A parts match does not by itself diagnose the cause of a fault.
For inspection, wiring or repair, follow the equipment manual and use a qualified installer. Find model documentation and support.
